Context. Przy stole (“At the Table”), a bistro serving traditional home cooking with a modern touch.

Brief. A passer-by should know within seconds what is cooking inside. Once inside, a guest should feel as if sitting at their own table.

Idea. The design is the client’s own: the fascia becomes a laid table set with plates. Chicken broth, potato pancakes and other Polish home-cooking classics. Inside, guests are already at the table, drawn on the wall, and their speech bubbles order straight from the menu: pork chop, pierogi, lemonade. The menu board itself ends in red and white check, like a tablecloth. Our job was to carry that idea onto the facade and into the dining room without losing anything on the way.

Execution. We prepared the designs for print at three scales. On the facade, food photography seen from the street has to look as appetising as it does on the plate. Inside, the drawing covers entire walls, so clean line work and continuity across the panels matter. On the menu board, legibility from the counter is what matters. HP Latex print is odour-free, which counts in a room where people eat. The same technology holds up outdoors. Our team applied the fascia and the walls, and we printed and mounted the menu board.

Outcome. The bistro invites people to the table straight from the pavement. The facade works like a menu you read in passing, and inside there is always someone already at the table.
